Someone Please Help

i was diagnosed with type 1 cm in march 08.  on that mri report i had tonsillar ectopia exceeding 5mm.  even though my dr says i barely have CM i have most of the symptoms especially the horrible headaches at the base of my skull.  i just had another mri done last week and on the report my tonsillar ectopia is now 12mm compared to 10mm 5months ago.  my question is, does anyone know what punctate T2 hyperintestity in the lateral genu of the corpus callosum means?  and physiologic  tenting of the diaphragm in the sella - most likely physiologic hyperthrophy appearance mean?  i have been on the web for hours searching and cannot find anything that helps.  thanks in advance.

I spoke with my neurologist finally and got answers to my questions.  the hypertrophy appearance means "enlarged pituitary gland" could possible be a tumor which is no big deal because they are non cancerous and can be easily removed and only stay over night in hospital.

On June 6th in the neurology expert (doctor) forum here at medhelp.com there was a discussion about T2 hyperintestity.  The title of the question was:  Meaning of T2 hyperintense signal on MRI.  It was posted by:  problemmatic.  And was answered by a doc.  You may want to check it out.

This website may help you learn about tenting of the diaphragm in the sella  http://www.theendocrinologist.org

(specifically, the page I found was):  http://www.theendocrinologist.org/pt/re/endocrinologist/abstract.00019616-200207000-00008.htm;jsessionid=LrpQS2118yVnFRtQN440P2RTRpJpGJhQqZfc00JY12ZV2XDMydVm!2087890851!181195629!8091!-1
If you just want to copy and paste it into your browser.

As for physiologic hyperthrophy appearance - I get a variety of answers when I search this, ranging from scars to the heart.  So I really don't know what to tell you.  But it sounds like you have a lot going on.  Your chiari is growing, and you exhibit symptoms - please contact a chiari specialist.  Any nerve damage that is done is irreversible, please don't wait too long to seek appropriate medical help.
