Surgery is Rescheduled

Hi Everyone, I said that I would let you know how my surgery went Feb.10th well it had to be rescheduled
because I live in Indiana and my medicade did not approve for me to have surgery in Cleveland Ohio. So they ended
up sending me back home then called me and told me my insurance went through.

My doc there told me that I have a degenerating spinal disk which is weird to me because I never had nothing
wrong with my spine before. Does this run with having Chiari which I am trying two and two together.

I also have DDD and Chiari.  I am having surgery for the DDD first because my surgeon told me that he had to fix that first before he could do the decompression surgery for the chiari.  He told me that if it was not done first that my decompression surgery would fail and not get better.  So, I am having surgery for DDD on Feb. 24th and then after I heal from that I will have the decompression surgery (probably in April or May).  I do think they are related... especially seeing how many people seem to have the two problems and that I am only 25 years old.  I am really too young for it to be age related.  That seems like too much to be a coincidence.

Me too. The doc said its early onset of arthritis and some degeneration probably more likely to be age related - weird huh - how we all seem to have this "age degeneration" AND chiari. I wonder.....................

I also have DDD. I'd say they are connected, not directly, but part of an overall weak nervous system.

Hi..sorry u r going thru all the red tape....I also have DDD and cervical spinal stinosis...I do not how they r connected,but it does appear there is a connection.
