The Left side....

More to add to the LEFT…
Ok I posted last month that I was dx’d w a ACM in May of 2011 after a TIA… and in Jan of ’12 had two more TIA’s….well how about now I have pneumonia… in my left lung no-less…I was only back to wrk a day and a half before this kicked in!
I don’t know if it’s CM related or not?!?! my bp was all over the map the first few days of this. Now I’m always numb/tingly on my left and my ear is always plugged. Today I noticed it takes some effort to swSaw the NL on Mon no surprise that he was just as lost as the ER docs… he ordered a EEG just to pacify me… I am wrkg to see a Dr ref by my cowrkr who has a CM that she just loves….
Well while writing this I looked up at my wall calendar and began to feel the life drain out of my left side…was able to keep talking popped up to my feet and the “pressure” or numbness subsided after a few mins…WTW!?!? IS GOING ON…. This is similar to what happened to me in the hospital is it the looking upwards or the bending over that’s causing these “TIA” like symptoms? HELP ME!?

Hi...the looking up can be putting pressure on the herniated tonsils...I also had issues with my left side and my NS told me it was bcuz of the way my herniation was.....

U may have a Dysautonomia  issue as well....many with chiari do, there is a related condition called POTS....

But avoid looking up, lifting ur arms above shoulder level to help avoid the issues u have been dealing with...in fact when going to a movie or the theater I would sit on the left side so I was looking right....and it would not bother me as much....

I have never had to deal with TIA, but I do know for myself that bending over is a no no.  It does create pressure in my head even after I had surgery.  I'm happy to hear your having the EEG and having this checked out.  Your in my prayer's and hope you find answer's for comfort.
Happy Valentine my Chairian friend  :)  Linda
