The Wheel of Misfortune

The latest symptom has been pain behind my right eye.  I called my ophthalmologist and was read the result of my appointment w/the neuro-ophthalmologist:  there is swelling behind my right eye, and he recommended an Optical Coherence Test (OCT).  This is news to me!  I'm rather used to being my own advocate, but wouldn't it be nice if docs talked to the patient-- better yet, gave written instructions-- in stead of talking to each other!

My daughter, a NP, just can't understand why I get so angry at her profession.

I looked it up to save you the bother.  I suppose I don't have a pseudo tumor because if there is increased pressure, we would know the cause.  I'll have the OCT on Monday; I think it'll be good to have a measurable outcome for comparison.

Can you explain this further?
If anything makes me have surgery, it will be to save my vision.
