Chiari and It's Multiple Symptoms

Hello everyone... I am relatively new here on the group.  I need your help in dealing with this diagnosis.  Before diagnosis, I have had a cystotomy and a colonoscopy as I had incontinence in all spheres.  Only after a full body MRI, did we discover Chiari 1 Malformation.  My initial blood work showed a marked for ANA and further tests were done.   I suffer from pulputations - which I was intially diagnosed as Mitral valve Prolapse, and then chronic pyleonephritis - which does not both me any more, symptoms of gout - which I had  two episodes of swelling of my hand and another when I couldn't walk - an episode of dry eye that was so bad that I couldn't close my eyes - etc.  The list goes on.  Are these things Chiari or are these conditions that I have listed merely Chiari-related - or are the simply auto-immune related because of Chiari.  Yes, I am also allergic to almost everything - almost all meds - including IV dye.  I can only smile - because things could be worse!  I've found a group who should be able to let me know a bit more because of their personal experiences.  Thanks for your help.

Welcome. So sorry you have been having so many difficulties. You came to the right place for support and acknowledgement that what we feel is real. I am not personally aware of the the things you are experiencing, but I'm sure there are people on this forum who may be able to help.

I'm glad you are still smiling. That sometimes seems to be the hardest thing to do for some of us when things get hard. I pray you have pain free days.
