Hello I start PT next week im anxious and hoping it helps. The doctor just kind of made me feel like chiari is no big deal.... he said yea u probably get a lot of headaches and when I started to explain my other symptoms thats when he said yea that can be posture. Its hard to explain how we feel to someone who doesn't understand. Im going to see another neoro surgeon that specializes in chiari.
Three months post surgery my surgeon also recommended PT because my body was having a hard time holding the weight of my head. I've been going for about a month now and it's been difficult but I can definitely feel a difference. I still get very tired and feel best when laying down but I am hopeful this will improve the more I work on it.
Posture can affect how we feel and the NL that worked with my Chiari specialist also mentioned posture...but did not suggest my symptoms were all posture related...but posture issues could be due to Chiari to be aware of it and work on it...the Feildenkras method was suggested.
If this is true then that could be the reason I always feel the way I do.
I feel better when I sit up straight. That is true. But, eventually my head feels so heavy that I have to lean on something.
Thats causing my symptoms and pain??...
