Are there many that have the Chiari walk in your area?

I've only actually met 1 other Chiarian. It's just rare enough to not really have much of a support group right now.


I understand that the actor Sean Astin (Samwise in Lord of the Rings) has Chiari as does his son and he is the spokesman for us now. So, maybe he's a big enough star to help with the publicity for this.

Someone mentioned that September is Chairi month, but I didn't find that out till the end of the month. Oh well, maybe next year.

This was the first year for the chiari walk. Local support groups were to coordinate them.I know Reading , PA was on Sunday and NY city was Saturday. I could not walk either and Both were too far form me to get to. I am sure there were others, but I am not sure. Someone from the forum said there was a group closer to me.....I contacted them by e-mail- no responce.

Do u know if there r ne groups in ur area that u can get involved with? I hope u have better luck then I 've had.

No, not that I'm aware of. I've never heard of a Chiari walk.

I'll check into that. not thatt I could walk in something like that, but maybe I could be involved somehow.
