Whats going onm can anyone help?

I am about to turn 21 very soon and at the beginning of my college experience this past year I went to the doctor because my right leg decided to not cooperate with my brain. I could not move my right leg my right leg was Motionless it had numb feeling and a little tingly. when the doctors tried to test me reflexes on it it would not do anything. I was in a wheelchair for a while until I was able to get into a walker and this took about a month for me to regain strength in my right leg. the next thing I knew every single time when I will go out and sell books to get money for my school I would always find myself throwing up and this would happen continuously. just throwing up and getting headaches and getting dizzy spells. my second semester in I was in another one of these programs and during these programs you have to carry like a heavy backpack of books. I was sitting down eating one morning and I ate something that was Sour and I made the sour face but it got worse than that every minute and 19 seconds (we actually counted the minutes)my body would just shake my arms would cross tightly unto my chest my my neck would crock over and my face would just make the sour looking face (but even more severe cuz it was like my muscleswhere tencing up) and the doctor could not find out what was wrong and I'm wondering does this have anythingto do with the Chiari malfunction that I have? could this be a possibility that all the symptoms that I'm having is due to the Chiari malfunction? if so why is it that the doctors are telling me that it has nothing to do with it?

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

It is very possible that your symptoms are from something other then Chiari....there are related conditions that most times we are not aware of and they can cause just as many and some times more symptoms then Chiari itself..so that could be why the Drs are saying that plus what you are dealing with are not typical Chiari Malformation symptoms.

That aside, many of us tend to have these odd strange symptoms that do not make the typical Chiari symptoms list....and we created a list of  symptoms that we considered Unofficial....even that does not have anything like you mentioned that I can remember.

Have you been tested for related conditions? Do you know if you have a CSF obstruction?
