When were lifting restrictions lifted after surgery?

Just curious when there will be no lifting restrictions?  I get my stitches out next week and can ask them then but I am just wondering if it is just until stitches/staples are out or longer.

It's a good question...when I asked after my surgery I was told that after the recovery period (2weeks) there was no restrictions at all!!! I was surprised when I found this forum and found that the advice given to others here was very different from that. So, it is a good idea to ask your NS but also even if they say there are no restrictions, I would really watch yourself.
There are many times still when I realize too late that something I had lifted or done has caused me damage and set me back by weeks. I still don't lift anything that causes me to strain b/c if I strain for that or any other reason, I can feel the pressure build up in my head, my ears plug and I feel like I am going to pass out. Not good. So, the most important is to listen to your body, go slower than you would like to and if something your are doing feels like it might hurt you, then it probably will.

I believe for chiarians there is always a lifting restriction...as to nothing at all after surgery ...it is up to how ur dr feels u r recovering.....

I know u may feel up to doing more that u did b4 surgery...u still have meds in ur system and u will feel it later...go slow with all of this and don't be in a rush.
