Wisconsin Chiari Center (Dr. Heffez)

Has anyone heard anything about Dr. Heffez and the Wisconsin Chiari Center lately?  I sent my records there about 3 weeks ago and have not heard anything.  I have also been unable to reach them by phone and received no response to my voice mail.  Today there was a message saying the woman who usually answers the phone is out of the office and someone will be checking voicemail.

I mostly am wondering if I should keep waiting or if I should try someone else in the meantime.  It is summer...could just be vacation time I suppose.

I actually got part of the answer to my question on another forum.  Renee is out on medical leave so that's why the phones aren't being answered.

I am in upstate NY.  I'm desperate for help and have realized I have no choice but to travel out of state to a Chiari specialist.  The voicemail I left was simply to confirm that they even got my films & info...no answer on that yet.  Of course I would also like to get Dr. Heffez's medical opinion but I can be patient if I at least know he's working on it.

Thanks!

Hi,

I happen to work at St.Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, where Dr. Heffez's Chiari Center is located.  I brought my MRI's to his office and he responded to me within a week.  I can inquire if he if out of the office when I work on Monday.  He was very nice, but very clinical.  I actually got more info from his office assistant Renee.  Are you from the Milwaukee area?
