Hi I can totally relate! I work at Walmart in the apparel dept and am in total pain every day but I am lucky to have caring co workers who don't make me lift anything to heavy or climb ladders. For four years I have been suffering from back and hip pain and had to reduce the hrs I work.Last January I had surgery for Chiari and was hoping that it would help relieve some of the pain but it didn't and unfortunately there is no cure for it. Having Chiari is life altering and you might want to consider having a job that doesn't cause to much stress and pain. I try to not get to stressed out although it is hard at times. I find that stress makes the pain worse. Do you have a syrinx?
Chiari .... Occipital pain, neck pain, leg spasticity, electrical vibration random feelings, fatigue, weakness:(
You do not describe your ailment. Surgery for what?
Hi...u will have a diff "normal".....I worked in retail....and know that lifting clothes can be heavy work....so u may not be able to go back for sometime post op...it all depends on how u respond to the surgery and meds....we r all diff....and it also depends on if u have ne other issues going on in addition to the chiari.
