Is anyone else heat sensitive?

     Is heat sensitivity part of Chiari? I find myself complaining that restaurants and places with AC are too cold lately. My husband and everyone else in the place are fine, but I'm trying to curl into a ball to get some body heat. Conversely, I can't stand being hot either. For a little over a week, I've been so happy because my nausea and dizziness haven't been too much of a problem. Although, I still don't have much of an appetite.. It's been over 4 months since I've had even a full 24 hours without them being totally debilitating.It's been great not walking slower than a snail. I almost feel like a normal person again. But the numbness/decreased sensation has been as rough as ever. Periodically, the stiffness gets so bad that I have trouble opening and closing my fingers and using my hands and occasionally, when my mouth gets numb, I can barely open and close it/move my tongue. I got into a hot car today and BAM, my numbness got about 100 times worse. Is this common?
     I have my first appointment with my new neurologist on Monday and I'm hoping he can give me some good ideas. Wish me luck!

YES, agree fully with Selma!  POTS is an issue for me and temperature is crazy!  I get cranky hot and if it is cold at all it almost hurts!  I need my electric blanket even in the Summer to warm up before I fall asleep.  My daughter I think may have POTS too and she is terrible in heat.  Get her cooled down and she is good again!  -zygy

  Hi...I would suggest they check u for POTS as they tend to be more sensitive to heat...I have always had an issue with the cold, I carry a sweater and a hoodie all summer as I get cold in places with AC to the point I hurt.

Heat usually does not bother me....I do not get out much so it is not that big a deal but heat does not affect me   like u mention but I know those with POTS do have this affect.
