I sent my stuff to dr ellenbogen and dr heffez and both reveiwed them for free. And they both have very nice staff. We decided to go with dr heftez just because I no lots of people who have had surgery with him and I'm about to have a chiari redo on the 22

Yeah, Dr. Ellenbogen's office has been great to me so far! I had my surgery w/ him on June 10th and I feel great! I have been back to see his PA a couple times and talked to him on the phone several times. Any time I had a question about anything he worked me into his schedule (His PA). I don't know the logistics of sending him your info since I live here in Seattle I just saw him in his office at Harborview Medical Center. (Level one trauma center and Neurology Specialty Hospital in Washington) But the office is VERY helpful so I would just give them a call and ask!
Good luck,
Stephanie
I am sending my scans and info to Dr. Ellenbogen on Monday. Talking to his office...he will review everything and then let me know if he feels a consultation is needed. I also had to include a brief explination of my situation and symptoms. No charge. I heard about him through another member here who just had surgery last month. she had nothing but good thing to say. I know dr Heffez in WI will do the same but Dr E is closer to me so I will try this and go from there.

I know I had sent mine to Dr. Heffez in Wisconsin and he did not charge me to look at them. Just another idea for you.

The UW Chiari Malformation Clinic is a part of the University of Washington Department of Neurological Surgery is where Dr Ellenbogen is. The State of Washington.
Most chiari drs will give an opinion for a nominal fee to keep u from going to them...and most will not make an appointment if one is not felt to be necessary.
I do not have first hand experience with either of these drs, but I am sure others that have will give u the info u need...bot have contact info on out drs thread.
