Possible Lhermittes sign? Need some advice.....

So I have ddd of my lumbar, an c-spine. I herniated my c6-7 lasy winter, now I'm in trouble with my lower back. I coughed on 3-21 an had to go to the er via ambulance because the pain made me near fainting when I would try an get up. I have had two rounds of steroids an am waitin for a mri. My question is, how serious is it, that when I bend my neck forward, it shootd terrible pain in my lower back like electricity? The drs don't seem to think its a issue but I'm starting to be truely afraid something is terribly wrong by the simple fact that I'm not getting better. I can't stand long, walkin hurts terribly. I can't bend, only squat. Bending my head down of cource is a big no no. I'm wasting away on my couch while the drs drag their feet. The er is no help, they just think I want pain need but I just want them to find out what's wrong. I had to beg for an xray to make sure my back wasn't slipped out of place. It showed nothing, strangly not even my spina bifida occulta...so I don't hold that to any value. So yea. It hurts to cough or sneeze, bearing down to go potty, I've never been in this bad of shape, and been treated with so much disrespect!  I'm so tired of this pain! Any suggestions? Other then ice heat nsaids an bedrest?

  Oh so will this be ur first time with Ellenbogen then....I pray he can help u....I know he is well known in Chiari circles and a few members have gone to him successfully.,....

Sad that the medical profession is not up on all these issues we deal with daily.

Thank you for replying selma, I have been with the same pcp for a few years an I was trying to get with a new one when this happened. He was a arnp and I found my heath was being neglected because of this. He didn't know what connective tissue disorder meant, if that gives u a glimps of his education. I'm not getting proper care what so never and its driving me mad. I have an appointment with a ns on the 18th for my neck, it is dr. Chang, a college of dr. Ellenbogen. When my ortho recomended surgery for my c6-7 I contacted Ellenbogens office to have them re- review my case. Its my only hope for figuring this all out.

  Hi Stacy...so sorry u r having these issues.....

The spine is a confusing lot of nerves that can do so much to us....and I have to wonder if u might have tethered cord as well....

Are u being seen by the Drs u have been to b4, or are these all new?

Wondering how they could miss the SBO?
