another operation?

I had my chiari surgery, in Feb, 13 1999 my surgeon never had me come back after my stitches were taken out, now I have been having pressure in my head again and just had a MRI done and it shows that I have membrain coming into where my operation removed my scull and took out verteras....what should I expect with this now???.....

you sould get him to look at you again i went a yr. after having the decompression surgery compaining of headaches the spinal fluid was filling up in the back of my head i had to get a cranial spinal shunt to help it flow down my spine..

You always go back for a post op visit and then a MRI every 2 yrs .

did they put a patch in where the skull was removed?..some use diff types of pathes...titanium, mesh, ect....also did they check u for tethered cord?

u really need to speak with a chiari specialist....the chiari inst. web site has quite a bit of info as does the ASAP site.

on the ASAP site there should still be info from the conference this past July- in the daily notes u might find some good info there.
