Welcome to the boards. Sorry you have to be here, but this is a great site for info and support.
You have a Chiari Malformation. Read the top thread on this forum and it will give you a primer, but for the basics; The lower back part of your brain (cerebellum) is being squeezed out of your skull into your spinal cord. This isn't a life threatening illness, but it is life altering.
By itself, Chiari can cause system wide health problems, but it can also lead to related issues like Syringomyelia (a blockage of spinal fluid). Syringomyelia can lead to nerve damage and even parylasis if not dealt with. This is a neurological malformation, it is connected to your brain, spine, and entire nervous system - like your scoliosis.
The first thing you need to do is get a Chiari Specialist. Most Neurologists and Neurosurgeons aren't familiar enough with this to be completely up on what all can happen.
10 mg of Pamalor is the usual starting dosage to get your body used to it. It's important to take it on a regular basis as prescribed, not just when you feel bad. It's not like taking a regular pain pill like tylenol. It has to get into your system, which can take a couple of weeks.
oh yeah and he uped my meds to 25mg Pamelor cause 10 did nothing at all
