caffeine and headaches

Has anybody else heard of caffeine helping the headaches? I have heard I shouldn't use anything with caffeine, but I read somewhere else that the caffeine found in coffee helps. B4 my dx I would use caffeine to boost the pain meds into my system faster so I thought that was what was working.

Caffeine can make your headache feel better for a little while.

Some headache medicines contain caffeine. But if you take medicine that has caffeine in it every day, you might get more headaches. The same is true if you drink beverages that contain caffeine or eat chocolate every day.

If your headache gets worse when you stop having caffeine, the caffeine may be causing some of your headaches.

It can depend on what type headaches you are having also. Caffeine restricts blood flow in the brain, so migraines can get worse, but "regular" headaches are usually helped - a little anyway.
