Another quick update.

Today was an amazingly awesome day.
I read a poem to my English class about Chiari and started crying.
And I explained about my condition.
I'm going to stay strong.
I know I will be alright.
For right now,
I need to focus on getting healthy,
because my body is too weak for track and band anymore. ):
But I will never give up my dreams.
This is just a wall I gotta climb
To get to where I want to be.
My surgery will hopefully be in the next two weeks.
Pray that God keeps me safe and helps me heal fast.
I would also like to say thanks to all my fellow Chiarians.
You guys are the greatest people I have ever met.
You give my hope that my life will soon be normal.
And that everything will be okay very soon.
I love you all sooo much.

Allison..I'm glad that you found a great way to explain what about what Chiari is...I am glad to hear that your surgery will be soon! The faster it is done, the sooner you can start to heal. Your are strong and resilient and I have great faith that you will see many beneficial changes post op!! Just remember that they may not happen right away but give it time! I was really impatient but now 2 months post op I am starting to see some other improvements.

And Selma is right...we are stronger than others...we have to be! :)

Hi Allison...I am not sure, but I think as chiarians we r stronger then those without chiari...just my opinion...but u r on the right track and frame of mind : )

May I ask what ur other poem selection was.....I know u took in Dr Oro's...just wondering....and I have one of mine  I will share with u if u r interested.....
