I can say I don't think I have heard of anyone with Chiari Malformation getting or applying for motability  unless they have an extremely physically disabled child due to Chiari or you are extremely physically disabled yourself because of Chiari. Even then I believe there has to be additional conditions and your doctors really need to document your physical disability.

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

We are all affected by this condition differently and at different rates....the medical community is not up on Chiari and how it affects us, so Chiari is not considered a disability condition. Those that were able to get disability have done so post op, and with several other issues/conditions going on and for most it took 2 yrs or longer to get approved.

May I ask what symptoms u have?

...and what is meant by DVLA?
