how to soothe neck pain

I have type 1, 6.8 mm, and my worse symptom is always neck pain. Today, my neck popped in a weird way and it hurts to just hold my head up. What are some at home remedies or exercises I can try to make the pain lessen?

Ugh I'm sorry preop nothing made neck pain go away but heat helped.  Have you been to a chiari specialist?  Tested or EDS?

Have u been to a chiari specialist yet?....The fact ur neck pops, could be it is the joints ...many with Chiari also have Ehlers-Danlos a connective tissue condition that is related to Chiari....

  Try heat and then try to slowly rotate ur shoulders to see if it helps....then reapply the heat after....

  But ur best bet is seeing a Chiari specialist.
