life plans seem to have ended...

I had big plans to move to the opposite side of the planet to live with my boyfriend and marry and have family etc ... Cause that's where he lives.

But since diagnosis my plans seem to have left my mind .. There isn't a chiari specialist in that country so i am a bit apprehensive...  i can always fly back here ( 20+ hour journey which i make often to that country) to see docs here.... But if emergency occurs i don't know what to do... But pay for normal doctor who won't know of chiari

I don't want to lose my life to chiari .... And it seems to be happening.

I want to know what anyone else would do?
Should i stick to my plan and put chiari to the back of my head ( pun intended )

Or stay in my own country and break it off with my man....

I just wanted to tell u what i think about it.its so.hard to live with this diagnose and i also dont want to put my life in hands of chiari...but unfortunatly i do a lot....as i have symptoms popping up with every single thing i do.before u move anywhere go to a chiari specialist that evaluates ur case and already has u filed.if that is done u can move foreward as in case u already have a specialist and u know where u can turn to!!!sometimes just the mental security of having someone that u trust is soo important.plus someone who speaks ur language.i really would suggest, dont move until u have a specialist....i am german and i live in spain...i sometimes found it very difficult to handle another language or foreign people when u r in brain fog and pain ;))

well mayb he can ask for a transfer until ur health is better...or a  leave if u have surgery, but until u r at that point it is not good to worry about what u may  or may not have to do....

I agree it is good to have a plan in place, and it is ur BF u need to discuss this with....but to break up  over this, I do not think it is warranted....many people have long distance relationships and they work out swell., and urs would only be until u get ur health stabilized...or know where u stand.

Hi..well where is this, what country?

And do u know how ur chiari is affecting ur overall health? Once u know , once a chiari specialist reviews ur MRI and does all the testing for related issues u may find u can move and continue with ur life...u may not be a surgical candidate yet...then again, mayb u will be, and it may be a few months longer to move....u do not know, until u answer those questions for urself.

If this is ur man, he will not break it off with u, marriage is in sickness and in health....mayb he can move here until u r doing better.
