Hi...we do have a Dr on our list u will want to check out -Dr Frim he is in Chicago and I know it is not in ur home state, but he is well known as a pediatric Chiari specialist...many of us do have to travel to get to a Chiari specialist...check with the ins to see what limitations they have and how they can get them to work with them on getting to a true chiari specialist.
Do see our list of Drs as a means to help u start ur research.
I am not recommending a Dr as I do not know one in KS. I live in mo and fle to Colorado for my NS. Since you need a pediatric Dr it is also a different group of Drs. I googled children's mercy and chiari (since that is our top children's hospital) nd found this http://www.childrensmercy.org/Content/uploadedFiles/Spina%20Bifida.pdf
Scroll to the bottom and there are some chiari links.
Often travel is required to get the true specialists.
Someone else may know more about peds
