What we were talking about? Just kidding!
All the time!!!! I write things down so I don't forget, then I forget where I wrote them down at.
my kids are get so upset when i get all mad and start yelling and as i am yelling, i don't even remember what the heck i am yelling about so i get more frustrated then I was before. the fire alarm went off last night as we were in a dead sleep, and i couldn't get my composer to find out what i needed to do or where all the kids were for the night cause it was just my youngest and me. i was very afraid and just couldn't wait for the noise to end so i could try and get a grasp on things. i want my memory back...hopefully soon..
that's right, baby...i'm back!!!!!!!!!!
O no no no she is back. Bob the builder is back with her jackhammer in one hand her hard hat in t’other,

hi everyone..haven't been on for a bit. Not feeling real well. How is everyone doing today? I hope well....
I drove my husband nuts before my last surgery - forgetting things 2 or 3x per day, not so bad now. I'm only forgetful about once per day. I stopped writing things down when I realized that I never remembered that I was writing it down.
Wow! Yes, to make a very long story short... it took me a long time to realize it. And I"m ashamed to say it, but my youngest son in tears because he was so worried about two weeks before the surgery. I asked him "What's wrong?" No answer. And frankly my boys are 'very' open, we've taught them to be open about everything from puberty on up the list. But he couldn't answer me. This scared me. So I pulled my son who's almost bigger than me onto my lap and hugged him quietly until he calmed down. Then asked him again. He finally answered me after some time. He was scared silly that I was going to die. A big part of the reason is because he had been observing me forgetting everything from my meds to what day it was etc. That particular day I was turning gray and he was scared because in his mind he was worried that perhaps I'd doubled or tripled my meds again.
Unfortunately, I can't say that has left me since the surgery. It has shown marked improvement, but still forget what I'm doing right in middle of doing it. Even go in the bathroom crawl onto the throne... forget why I'm there and come back to what I was previously doing. :-\ Not nearly as bad as it was though, not even close.

Hi Janie.....most of us do have memoery issues..mostly short term.
Cognitive issues appear to get better after surgery almost right away...please see chiariwolf's thread....
I tend to have a problem with my meds...did I take them or was it yesterday....so I understand what u r saying.

Hi Jaine,
All the time, I write things down too but forget where I put the piece of paper, I find it is worse when I am tired.
It can be surreal at times to find a message that you have left for your self and totally forgotten about.
It can be a bit frustrating.
