yeah they did a diabetes and glucose test as well as thyroid. Everything came out normal
When they did your blood work did they check for diebete? You could ask for a glucose test which they look at your levels which go back 3 months. Before all my surgeries up until 3 months ago I was a very bad soda drinker. Then 3 months ago I don't know what happened, but I don't drink pop any more just water. Weird how our brains work. LOL.....I would ask for a glucose test to be done just to get this checked out. Wishing you the best.
Linda :)
Hi, I am a water drinker too, had a mini fridge in my office pre op to keep filled with water...lol....but, I was not driven to drink, if u know what I mean.
Even blood labs can appear normal with diabetes,....there r many silent symptoms, check family history and see if there is a more advance test to rule it out if in fact it is a family trait.
As for it being chiari related, not sure y, but I steer clear of soda's too, when I am thirsty only water quenches my thirst.
To be safe..always rule out other medical possibilities as chiari should not be assumed as the cause for everything going on, we can have more then chiari to deal with....so do be careful and always check .
I also had it before my decompression surgery I drank all the time know it is alot but not excessive definetly chiari related!
This can be chiari related...and i have it too.my colleagues told me it is not normal how much i drink too...
