progress

I called my NL today wondering what to do about all the pain.  He asked me to come in right away.  I get there and he reviews all the many symptoms I gave him a month ago.  (He must not have read them the first time.)  He states "I feel that this may be Chiari like.  Based on your CT scan and MRI there is minor herniation, symptoms are not commonly seen but here you are and you are having them.  I think you need to get to a NS."  I was so shocked I did not know what to say.  thank you for listening or you *** why didn't you take the time to look and listen a month ago when i was here.

NS though is not one that is highly recommended so that is where the good news ends.  Hoping to here back from the WI prior to my appointment with him though so I can have something to go in there with and force him to listen to what I have to say.

Another thing is that my NL said he does not know of cases where Chiari is found later in life.   Maybe this is a common problem with many of them.  At least I got lucky and have a doc that is willing to admit he doesn't know something and looked into it.

Well I feel blessed for today I hope others will be as fortunate as I have been with progress from doc

yes he just reffered me today to a NS  the soonest appointment is Dec 10  yuck.

I have to go to a local Dr for insurance coverage.  But I am hoping that I can here back from the WI before then.  My insurance will cover one out of network claim a year.  So I had to be careful for now to make sure I got in to see some one in network.

hey it's progress I will take what I can get for now : )

thank you all for the support I wouldn't have had the strength to even question his judgment and force him to listen without everyone here
