im pretty sure this is a csf leak and if it is then ud have a horrible ha when u stand up but when u lay flat it would get significantly better!
Hello! I think like most things the pseudomeningocele can cause different issues for different people. If it is letting out too much fluid, you can have low pressure headaches. In my case I had a pressure issue so I did not get these low pressure headaches. Where mine was located (at the decompression site) it was creating the Chiari issues again. It was putting pressure back on everything and I knew something did not feel right. It also did not allow my neck to heal well and I stayed very sore in my shoulders and neck. I had a pseudo after my first surgery, I had a second to fix the leak and things went a bit crazy so I had a third surgery and I have yet another pseudo. This is where he figured it was a pressure issue and I now have a shunt. I don't know how to quite explain this but I can also tell where my pseudo is by tapping the back of my head/neck. I can hear the change in sound when I tap. The pseudo area sounds to me like my ears are under water. I am not sure if this works for others but I got to see the MRI and it was right where I thought it was :) -zygy
