I was wondering if anyone had a sore tongue after surgery.I thought maybe it was from the breathing tube

  Hi...it is possible to develop an issue with ur tongue post op and it can be from the tube....

What all other then sore?.....I mean do u have a white coating or nething like that? is it swelling?

When I had my surgery, my tongue was so swollen that I couldn't even drink water. They said it was caused by the tube cutting my tongue. Is your tongue just sore or swollen?

Yeahit kind of has a white coating. And food doesn't taste right either.

  Sounds like u may have Thrush...call ur Dr so u do not get to the point of it swelling.....this can be a gradual thing or a sudden onset.....but sounds like thrush.....the Dr should be able to give u an RX to help clear it up.

ive had thrush multiple times and i have also gotten these viruses where my tongue gets these ulcers all over and it hurts really bad!

Yes it does sound like Thrush.  Give the doctor a call and let him know.  I had it and yes it does make things tastet funny.  Hope you get it better.
