tingling/neck pain

So still 14 months later getting intermittant tingling in face and left hand.  No Syrinx found on MRI.  Tonils resected too.  I know nerves take a long time to heal but trying to find the gray line in healing and something that I need to be concerned with.  Had post op MRI in March and was told all was good.  Would over doing it (meaning being at soccer games all day in cold and rain standing/sitting etc) really cause an increase?   With the tingling is neck burning pain.  By end of day i just want to lay my head down cause my neck muscles feel tired.  UGH....I HATE CHIARI!

Hi Mel...over doing it can cause any symptoms to flare be it pre or post op....that said it does not mean it is only due to Chiari or healing.it could be another underlying condition you may not be aware of

What areas were done on MRI?

Do you do any neck exercises?

It does get better, but all in time....and I know it seems like a long time already....but I continue to see changes and benefits 6 yrs later.

She did brain and cervical in March.  .   Just seeing quite an increase in facial tingling not pain though.  And neck burning.  What sort of neck exercises Selma?  I do work at a computer all day so neck pain is higher during work week.  Less when I am up walking more.  Just started thinking more about cci.   My ns was touted as a Chiari expert but I am finding she doesn't look for anything else.  So when my results came in she said Chiari looks good and minor bulging disk in c3/4 but that would not cause facial tingling.  Is there anywhere to find those exercises?  Might ho the neck pain.  Thanks selma!

Is your computer monitor sitting ona table or desk? If so, try to find something to raise it up to eye level so you are not looking down at it, this should help a little with your neck.

Here is a link to a spinal chart showing which disks affect what nerves.etc...http://www.medhelp.org/user_photos/show/197978?personal_page_id=197028&photo_collection_id=1369

No worries......take the exercises slowly !!
