I have experienced episodes like you describe (Confused & disoriented) but only for a few minutes. I get the intense pressure like you describe just before I have this and I get the fatigue after. I get the shaking in my right hand and have past out with it.
The Dr say it is some kind of Syncope (Fainting blackout)
You need to talk to your NL about this....

I've also had similar episodes, but they only lasted a few minutes. I've wondered if it's some kind of seizure activity, but my dr didn't seem very worried about it, but then I was going over a list of 20+ symptoms at the time.
Yes I get the shaking also, but does not seen as bad as everyone else has described, mine usually happened first thing in the morning, my arms, legs just shook uncontrolably, lasting 10 mins them would stop, it now happens more frequently and at anytime.
The only way I can describe it is like the panic stricken rush you get when you have had a fright or say a near miss in yr car, its like the adrenalin hit you get afterwards. I get very spaced out and really have to concentrate to think straight or act logically.
So glad I can share this with people as at times these symptoms freak me out, but sharing with you all makes me realise im not making these symptoms up its not all in my mind I am sane and this is not stress related, like most dr's try and have you believe.
I have had similar episodes. The one time I awoke to find piles of blankets on me. My daughter covered me up thinking I was shaking cause I was cold. I thought they were seizures but doc didn't seem concerned.
I would talk with your doctor it sounds like seizures to me
Try www.essentialtremor.org and www.wemove.org. I have had the same thing for almost a year now. get plently of rest. Keep the Caffeine down to a dull roar. No high energy drinks. Electric blanket or throw helps with the pain that comes after it all. A nap in the middle of the day helps charge the batteries. I have had to figure all this out on my own as there was no answers for me either a year ago. Get with your doctor. I am on several medications you will need to find your own combination as what works for one person does not always work for some one elese. Primidone works well but if u take took much it makes you hurt. Neurotin is a good one. Xanax is another and if an over the counter pain med does not work try Tramadol, Vicodin or Percicet are really watch those 2.
Hi...I have heard of others having seizure like shaking and episodes......have you had the decompression surgery? And were other Chiari related conditions ruled out?
I used to get what I called a tremor like issue but in my arms....and once years and years ago long b4 I had y Chiari DX I had a seizure like episode but it never returned. It is possible to have varied symptoms that change..as the pressure points move and change so will our symptoms...and we can experience anything with our brain stem and spinal cord being compromised.
