chiari vs flying??

just wondering if having chiari will have any effects on flying..cuz of the pain/pressure in head and ears with the altitude changes or if theres no difference whatsoever noticed by anyone?

Flying isn't that fun with Chiari...take off and landing hurts the ears, landing kills the back, and turbulence could make you cry.

That's just how I've experienced it.   I had a PFR on May 27th, and I'm flying tomorrow, so if I get a chance, I'll get on here Thursday and let you know how it went!

Hi, I believe this was asked not too long ago by another member...I can only tell u how I responded....but u can use the search this community to see the other thread and responces....

I flew b4 I knew I had chiari....I did notice an influx of my symptoms including new ones.....On the return trip home, I did have issues landing with the pressure in my ears.

Some do not notice this...as I said I did......

Where r u planning to go??
