Hair washing(5 days post op)

I'm wanting to wash my hair, I know about water, cut, dry, blah, blah. What I wondering is how to do it?It doesn't seem like it could be done without being extremely painful. So how did you guys do it? Oh and I have my husband as helping hands :)

I don't have long hair, mine is real short like a crew cut almost.  I didn't get real scrubby for about a month.  I gently washed it.

how many days after surgery did you do this? Scrubbing you hair didn't hurt you neck?  Im really nervous due to my long hair.

I have put a shower with a hose attached.  It has made it easier so I can put the water where I want to do it.  I leaned over a little to make it easier to wash it.  I let my wife do it for me until I could raise my arms that way without hurting.  It took me about two weeks to do myself.
