10yr old girl masturbating

OK, this is a bit unusual.  I am a music teacher and I have a girl who absent-mindedly masturbates with her clarinet during her lesson.  I have no idea how to approach this or even if I should.  I don't want to embarrass her or get her in trouble with her parents (I don't know how they'd react).  This is not the sort of thing music school prepares you for!!  Any ideas on what to do?

or bring it up to the school guidance counselor and seek his/her advice...they can be the one to approach the parents.

   Physically not an easy thing to do while sitting in a chair.  Impossible to do with it in a playing position.  Keep her practicing and the problem will take care of itself.

Is it possible you are over emphasising or exaggerating this in your mind? Has anyone else noticed?
