Just wanted to follow up on this thread to see if how your son was doing this week and if anything changed at all for you, keep us posted :)
He could be lactose intolerant. Try giving him Pediasure in place of it.
For a while my daughter wouldn't eat meat. My MIL freaked out over it, but I knew that when she was ready she would eat it. Sure enough she did!
Oh you can try this too, Silk has a Chocolate Almond Milk, which we give to our son maybe once a day or so as a treat. He gets the calcium from the almond milk and the antioxidants from the cocoa. But yes like margypops said healthy food, even frozen yogurts can be something fun too for them to try. Let us know what works.
My son went through something like that at about 18 months too. We were giving him a lot of juice during the day and that turned him off the milk because the juice is sweet. It could possibly be something like that. I agree with margypops too, you can try cheese, yogurt or other dairy foods to help him get the calcium and other vitamins that the milk usually would give him. Good luck hun!
He doesn't need a lot of milk at his age ,in fact very often children feed up on milk and wont eat because they are not hungry, cheese is good and makes veggies taste nice,do you let him eat his food by himself they get very independant and finger foods work well.chicken , fish sticks, nice yoghort and puddings for kids out there, crackers, meat spreads on toast and bread cut into fingers, eggs get a good rap nowadays, cheerio's ,lots of good healthy foods out there..
Children go through changes in their diet all the time. He could have just developed a diversion to some of the foods he was used to eating. I know we have to switch it up all the time with our little ones when they go through phases. If I am concerned about their eating I introduce smoothies, and let them help make them. They are more apt to drink something they make. I can make it with milk or almond milk, add a banana, strawberries, and even some protein powder (vanilla). Then we call it a smoothie party :D I think diet changes are normal though, unless of course you start noticing they have a fever or they seem sick then I would have a doctor check them out. Keep us updated!
