4 YEAR OL D WETTING HIMSELF

I have a 4 year old child who's nearly 5 who wets his pants during the day, he will go to the toilet 2-3 times a day and when he does I use a reward chart which he puts the stickers on himself.

When he does wet himself im very calm and I wash and change him showing him no punishment.

he is even in nappies at bedtime and his nappy is hanging off him by the time morning comes, I have tried many solutions like cutting his drinks down so he only has a drink in the morning, late morning and then in the afternoon, approx 3-4hrs before he goes to bed. The results are still the same.

I am starting to get fustrated and stressed out because of this so please can anybody offer any advise

Thank you

Hi there. Be real careful with reducing liquids, or he could get dehydrated.
Have you talked to the doctor about this? Maybe his body isnt developed as fully as it should be by now?
Its also possible to be other issues with his health. If the things you have tried are not working, I would definately check with the doctor, just to be safe.

I had the same problem with my daughter. SHe would rather pee in her pants just because she was busy and didn't want to stop. So, not wanting to punish her I came up with the potty chart. Everytime she peed in the potty she got a flower on the chart. Everytime she peed in her pants she had to take a flower off. Once she got to 10 flowers she got a prize (normally a helium balloon) after about a week (and a few balloons) she was getting the point and we did a big prize (chucky cheese trip) and stopped. Best thing ever.
