6 years old and still in pull ups

My first one who just turned 6 is still in pull ups in the nights and even for nap time. I'm worried. We live so far away from our family he loves his grand pa and grand ma, aunts and uncles so much. he is always in tears and then a bad mood after saying good bye to them. He says that he wants to live where he is close to them and can visit them every few days not where in the us that he's able to visit them once in two years for 2 months. My second one who is 3 now is already potty trained and we have no problem with him. They are totally different in behavior. While my first one is too much sensitive and shy boy my little one is not. Do you think that living in an foreign country with jst a few friends and no fanily around can cause the problem. Please please help me. I'm frustrated,

The Pullups should go , put a waterproof sheet under the sheet on the Bed, then you only have the sheet to wash, he wont do it for long , let him have a lot of drinks during the day if he wants but not after early evening ,Talk to him and explain hes a big boy and only needs big boy unerwear there are some great ones out there , take him with you to choose them at the store, so they are special he can wear them at night under his PJsI understand his longing to have all his Family around explain the circumstances and he will get over it can they visit you more aswell. Lots of Love and attention as much as the 3 year old gets,Keep him busy so his thoughts dont dwell on missing them
