if she has true panic attacks a dr may need to be consulted for help-
I know 3 year olds that go through it after Christmas Break, Spring Break, even after the weekends they are more teary and
What we want her to know is that we believe she is capable of going to school without being afraid- to let her know we love her, we realize it is hard, and of course mom does love her more than anyone, but while mom has to be away we will do our best to help her thru the day with hugs, etc.
even with preteens for instance at lunchtime we let one girl in Elementary I worked at go eat in the counselor's or the nurses office or in the hallway at a table we sat up with a friend- the noise in the lunchroom made her highly panicked-
Some children are beginning to really dislike nap time at preschool now- probably outgrowing nap- so they come to school already fretting about being quiet at naptime. Is it worth it? These kiddos are only 2 and 3? And one has begun crying all day on and off saying over and over "no nap no nap", even at 9:00 am.......
Is there anything she can tell you that is especially troubling her?
Friendships, bullying, recess, even library time, anyone especially unkind? all these things can be negative at times. Has the school counselor/ psychologist had a chat with her yet?
If mom likes to pray that always helps in the mornings with my own children- pray the night before and the next morning about anxieties and knowing God will be with them to calm them thru the day, imagine Him holding her hand---- I know everyone is not into prayer- just a thought
