I'm in to social statistics and have written surveys.
I think it's great what you're doing, but you have to ask what age child the parent has.
The most effective surveys are ones that are truly geared toward getting true demographic information, and it sounds like your intent is to stack the deck so you can prove your hypothesis that social media causes kids to use foul language.
I agree, that most surveys do have an agenda - but that's not the professional way to conduct one.
Along with age, asking the gender of the child would also be very useful.
Good luck with it!
Thank you for your response. At this stage we are just trying to assess the frequency of teens or kids that is engaging in social media platforms and its relation to profane words. We are trying to target everyone in this survey because we are hoping this would give a massive effect to everyone especially the children if this came through successfully.
I read through your survey, and found that you never ask the age of the children.
If you are trying to assess profanity in kids 8-15, this survey needs to include a question that differentiates ages.
