Curious Grandma

Could someone help me understand why my 2 year old grandson is so rebellious with his mommy whenever I am present? My daughter in law and my son say that the child is "good" when I am not around. I take care of him while they both work and he is a very well behaved little boy. I enjoy spending time with the family but he always seems to act up when we are all together. What is happening?

I have taken care of him fulltime until a month ago. My daughter in law is only working part time,now, and he hasn't been with me as much as before.(In fact,hardly any at all,lately).He cries after me and she and my son gets irritated. He is a precious little doll and I miss getting to spend time with him because I have only kept him one day a week ,now for a month.He is probably missing me,too.

Are you doing fulltime care for this boy?  If so,  you are seen as the "mother" and his actual biomother is the evening and weekend caretaker.
