My 6 year old son started this year first grade in the public school system, he was in a private christian school for pre K and K and he did really good, not big issues or problems, but it seems is taking him long to adjust to this new school, his teacher basically is saying she does not know what else to do with him, she said is not that he is highper active is jus that he does not focused and get distracted easily, he is very bright and veryyyy smart, his reading is the level of a second grader, he loves science but he can not keep his attention and focus on her, she moved him away from the group and put him on the back of the class, she turn around his desk so he will not play with the things, she said he requires a lot of one on one attention and she can not do that, that he does need constant redirection each day and she said is exhausting, and to be honest I do not like the idea of him being remove away from everybody and put in the back, to me she should put him on front of the board, I feel she does a lot of negative reinforcement, even some kids said to me on front of him that he is bad, and I can see he gets hurt by this comments, he even tells me that he is bad and it breaks my heart, I feel the teacher is giving up on him, I feel very frustrated because I know how smart he is, he is not aggressive, he is very social and loves to talk to people, how can I help him, what can I do to help him!
