Purposely urinating in parents bed

My secretary's daughter who is in 2nd grade urinated in her parents bed and then put the blankets over it so it would not be discovered quickly.  My question is why would she urinate in her parents bed?  My theory is that she is seeking attention no matter whether it is good or bad.  The mother works in the evenings for my language school and the father is in charge of the taking care of the daughter in the evenings.  However, he spends most of his time on a computer and pays very little attention to her.

I agree that it is a way of seeking attention and perhaps the Mom needs to have a word with the father and ask him to play games with his child and not be on the PC all the time, its up to the Mom to work it out and tell the childs Father this is not good, or change her scedule so she is there in the evenings, she does work 7 evenings so does it only happen on the evenings she works ?It seems to me the child  is asking her Mom to stay home with her, perhaps you could employ her at other times during the day ......
