bitten and afraid

About 6 weeks ago my 2 1/2 year old grand daughter was bitten on the back at day care. The skin was broken and blood was drawn. Since then anything bad that happens she blames it on the child that bit her even though the child is no where to be seen. Spilled milk....Cooper did it. Please help pick up your toys.......Cooper did it. How was your day today......Cooper bit me, even if Cooper was not at day care that day. That being said the day care providers say they play nicely, without incident, since she was bitten. How do we move past this?

Just ignore it, the more you make of it the more it becomes , so when she says it, say nothing back, distract her ..He obviously upset and hurt her , I am sure she will forget it soon . hopefully the day care is watching to make sure he doesn't do it again, biters dont usually do it once ..good luck .
