child's behaviour

I have a son of six years old. We were recently (one years back) came to this country. When we were in our country, he is very active and he used to question me a lot if he needs to know something. After coming here, he used to this country day by day and now I feel that he is not listening to us. He wants to jump on bed ans sofas, he says he doesn't like to do the school home work and sometimes he says that he doesn't like to go to school. Most of the time he watches the TV or playing games and he doesn't question me anything. When he was playing with his toys he talks to those toys and he cannot play silently. Is this a normal situation or do I have see a doctor regarding this? Please advise me

He is learning the behavior from other children and children in the country you moved to are very 'lively' my opinion is that this is a good thing, it is always great when people assimilate into the culture they have moved to whilst still keeping their own values, so it has to be you accepting that he is now part of the culture he has moved into .When he is jumping on beds and sofas you can use the taking a privilege away system some of of us use also time out method ,so he knows there are bounderies and consequences . Talking to his toys is okay , the more children listen and learn the happier they are ..no need to see a doctor unless you are really concerned by his behavior...take a step back and go with the flow ...
