My 1month old daughter wont sleep in her bassinet nor swing...is it ok for her to sleep in her carseat? Thats the only way she will sleep unless shes in bed with me. But id rather he not sleep with me because she ends up rolling into me and i dnt want her to suffocate. I jus dont kno if its safe fot her to sleep in her car seat next to my bed at nyt

Absolutely!  My soon to be 10mo baby girl loves sleeping in the carseat.  She did it since she was born.  Consider it in the same catagory as a bassinet and crib.  Perfectly fine, and safe.

I would imagine that your baby is in an infant carrier, right?  Well the head is laying back as they are not upright.  At least that was how my infant car seat was.  So Mammo is right that if the head is back, then their airway would not be blocked.  Both my babies would fall asleep in the infant carrier all the time and we let them sleep.  They'd fall asleep in the car and we'd just bring the infant carrier in let them continue sleeping.  It aslo fit into our stroller and they would snooze away like that for long periods.  So, I'm not sure about the head falling over.

I think that babies like to be squeezed, especially little ones just out of the womb.  Think of how they are inside of you.  All bunched up and squeezed.  The infant carrier seat kind of feels like that I'd imagine.

I'm guessing that it is fine, but I'd run it by your pediatrician.  You are probably due for a return visit at one month.  If you've already had it, you can call.  Good luck and enjoy your little one.

It's not a good idea to allow her to sleep in the carseat because her head can fall forward and block her breathing.  If she is laying far enough back so her head can''t do this, then it would be fine.
