My 8 year old is the exact same way, but also has some speech issues, and gets emotional and angry, pretty easy. He had a few seizures as a toddler, but tests ruled inconclusive. He has been said to have ' short term memory ' problems, but no official diagnosis. I sometimes get frustrated reading with him, but have to bite my tongue. I will tell him over several pages, what one word is, and he won't remember it from page to page. It is usually a very simple word, such as "has, " or something easy. He has struggles in school with remembering, which makes everything about school a struggle. His speech has improved, and I constantly need to work on his reading. But I've been given no official word on what it is, he has. Please keep in touch. Mybe one of us will find out!! You aren't alone.
apologies exchange she for he '
I she on any meds sometimes they do affect the memory even of children .I am sure you are glad he hasn't been diagnosed with 'anything' as that what seems to happen now a days for what I consider is part of a normal childhood .
