probably will receive a degree in Engineering- if it bothers you terribly have the pediatrician evaluate him.
btw there is a doctor forum on here
This is normal. At his age you cease to exist then magically exist when you go through doors! Children are the originators of Des Cartean philosophy!! lol
I have an autistic brother whom at that age developed various different obsessions which he could NOT be torn away from. fascinations of the oddest things.
At this age, kids do go around closing doors. I remember it distinctly.
But it sounds like your child has a stronger fascination. Can you be very literal here? Literally HOURS (like, more than two hours) he can sit and do nothing but watch sensor doors open and close?
About what percentage of his waking day - realistically - does he spend opening and closing doors?
Being concrete in describing him is really helpful, especially if you are going to seek an evaluation.
Goodness a little boy genius in the making,Engineering at the very least. A lot of children are facinated how things work and it is fun to watch isnt it ,I remember years ago when I couldnt afford a washer watching it go around in a strange laundret , I also found those revolving doors facinating and hey, I had a son who sat watching escalators go up and down and No he doesnt have a disorder he was just a kid.Have some fun with him they truly grow up too quickly .
