I'm afraid it has nothing to do with cholesterol.
HbA1c refers to glycated haemoglobin and the test is used to get your average blood sugar levels over a period of time.
It's used mainly to dx diabetes.
alirezaa, your levels are fine (normal 4.00-5.9%
fbs-->fasting blood sugar Your levels are normal.
Amandag78, your levels are high, unless, you're already diabetic and if you're not, you should make changes in your lifestyle, diet, fitness etc to reduce it.
"Glycated haemoglobin" is the glucation of haemoglobin
( sugar molecules binding with haemoglobin-the part of the red blood cell which carries oxygen)-not a good thing when excessive.
Avoid carbs and sugars, consume small meals frequently with an emphasis on low glycemic foods with high nutritional value and take long walks, if physically able.
This was an accidental visit BTW. Hope it helps. I have studied cellular medicine (among many other studies), however, my comments are not intended to replace medical advice.
Best wishes.
Niko
