I can't stop coughing

I been coughing for the past 6 months, nothing hurts, I am also able to sleep at night without coughing, however, when I speak to someone the cough comes back and I probably cough about 100 times a day if not more. I already took Antibiotics and Serum for the emergency room at the hospital, but the cough continues to linger. I am worry about what me now.

There is many things it could be. Have you been to the doctor? Do you have allergies? Do you have any post nasal drip or have to clear you throat of mucus? Do you have any other symptoms like fatigue or body aches? I know from experience that a swollen thyroid can cause your problem but, there would be other symptoms to go along with the coughing.

have you had a chest xray done to check for pneumonia?  also, do you have allergies?  Allergies can cause the excessive coughing.  It could also be due to the humidity in the atmosphere.  If you are concerned, you should see your physician.

I had that same problem before..i coughed all day every day for maybe 7 months striaght...for me though 1. im a smoker, 2. i had recently moved and 3. i have not serious but just here and there health problems.  I was never sick and had been to the doctor about it after i while i was told to go to specialist.  Well what came up was that my body's immune system was not at 100 percent ...soo that was why i never felt 100 percent ok but nothing was ever really wrong.  also smoking and living in melbourne florida did not help..but i had just moved there and i was stressed out and up 15 16 17 hours a day....trying to balance school and work and everything all at once..i had a neew enviroment and new things in the air and new climate and all of those things wrapped into one.  It was a combo of all of those things that just got my body out of balance for a while...so think about your lifestyle has it changed...has your life changed etc...hope this helps
