Any Know?

Hi,
About 2 weeks ago I had all the H1N1 symptoms, well I waited it out on my couch. I was feeling a little better so I went to the doctor, I knew that I also had a REALLY bad sinus infection so my dr. said that I may have had the H1N1 flu but I would be over it now.
When he was listening to my breathing he said it sounded like I had fluid in my left lung (Im a smoker) so he sent me in for  chest xrays.  He also put me on CLARITHROMYCIN XL 500MG.  Anyway I have not got a call back about my xrays yet and have been on the meds for about 3-4 days now.
So my Q is for about 2 days I have had a ton for bloody yellow mucus. I was yellow before but not it almost fluorescent
yellow and the blood is not from my nose its in the mucus....
Anyone know what this might be or mean??
thanks!

Always good news:-) You know flushing your nose with water and vinegar will help keep muscus buildup and infection down.. Goodluck..

Blood in mucus is a side effect of the medication, with means you need  to change to another bacterial antibiotic. Have you tried bactrim? Also yellow mucus normally means a severe infection. My husband had the same, yellow mucus. Did you see your relgular doc or a ear nose and throat doc?
