Has your mother been checked for kidney failure?  Nausea and vomitting is a symptom of the kidneys shutting down.

I understand that CHF can be caused by kidney failure also, as the kidney and heart work very closely together.

I'm am not a doctor, but I have experienced CHF and am at statge 5 kidney failure, also known as End Stage Renal Disease.  I have been through the nausea and vomitting, and severe swelling from the CHF, and now I do dialysis 6 days a week.

Considering where I was a year ago, I feel healthy.

I hope this helps......
