Thank you. I know the answer cannot come from anyone on this bulletin board, it has to come from within and above. I guess I was just looking for some comfort! Actually, he is my father-in-law of 32 years and having to weigh this same decision in December with my own father, I think I was a little overwhelmed. He did undergo a cath yesterday to unblock 1 artery and came through the procedure well. I am quite certain that we will travel to at least assist with aftercare and future plans. Just some friendly advice, though, at any age a heart attack can take a life, and at 82, with heart problems, and cancer, the odds are quickly adding up against your Dad.
